If you are following me, then you can scroll through my stream of tweets and see who I interact with on a regular basis. There are people of all different ages, races, professions, and geographic locations, who all bring something unique to Twitter, and to my life.

In my Twitter stream you will find active military personnel and veterans who have served their countries, truck drivers who make it possible for goods to be on the shelves in your local stores, sales people, secretaries, artists, writers, musicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, executives and seasoned international business people. They are wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters.

The people in my Twitter family have a variety of interests and talents, and they show this by sharing small pieces of themselves through their tweets. They make me laugh and cry, they educate and enlighten me. They remind me of songs I have not listened to in years. They share their experiences, both personal and professional, through their blog posts. They have causes for which they are so passionate, and they have opened my eyes to many things in this world of which I had little knowledge from my vantage point.

So for this week’s #followfriday, I invite you to embrace the whole premise behind this weekly tradition. If you are truly looking for new, interesting, inspiring, and genuine people to follow and interact with on Twitter, spend a few minutes wading through my stream. Still waters run very deep!
